Here at the Dolphin Inn we have a passion for live Music and in particular the laid back and easy style of an acoustic Blues set.

Following the success of our first Sunday Session we will be hosting an afternoon of acoustic Blues music played by two of Torquay’s finest musicians – Ten Blues (and guests) – every last Sunday of the month.

We’d like to invite you to come down, sit back and relax to enjoy with us the ‘peaceful easy feeling’ you can only get from good, live music!

Cousins Hoping to Make a Splash in the Community

Cousins David Wood and Daniel Harrison are chomping at the bit to take over The Dolphin Inn, a Pub/Restaurant in St Marychurch, Torquay.

David, 40, is moving down from Buckingham for the new venture and will be predominantly behind the bar. With a background in project management keeping up to date with day to day tasks of a Pub should be easy for him. He also has experience in the entertainment sector, previously running his own dance club. His love of music is a large part of his life, especially blues music. He Dj’s and goes to live events regularly. So, it’s a good job he’s in charge of booking the entertainment for the pub.

Daniel, 25 already lives locally and is in charge of the Kitchen for The Dolphin as well as working front of house. He has already gained a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry for his age. He’s been destined for big things from the start being nominated one of the top 5 apprentices of the year whilst working for DHL during his apprenticeship. Since then he has worked in a number of roles. Working his way up from General Kitchen Assistant to Head Chef setting up kitchens and developing teams. His last role being Head Chef at The Passage House Inn, Topsham.

A Community Hub

David and Daniel have big plans for the Dolphin, aiming to provide good quality food and service. Music will be a big part of the entertainment. With bands and performers across a range of genres playing most Fridays and Saturdays. They both want to get to know their regulars personally, so everyone feels at home.

But what makes their vision unique is that they want to put The Dolphin at the heart of the local community. A dog friendly, children friendly, family centred pub that welcomes everyone. Running and taking part in local events, charity fundraising and wider parish and town events.
